What does "Low Acuity" mean?
Our clinic focuses on low-acuity care stable individuals with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. We provide effective management to maintain your quality of life, without addressing active crises.
Do you provide services for children/teenagers?
We provide dedicated psychiatric care exclusively for aged 18 and older. Our practice is thoughtfully designed create a calming environment for individuals facing the complexities of adult life, it be professional transitions or managing long symptoms. We are here to support you on your journey to mental well-being.
Is my information HIPAA compliant?
Pure Light is committed to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and security, ensuring that we are HIPAA compliant in all our practices. However, as a mandatory reporter, we have a legal obligation to report any suspected cases of abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals. This responsibility is crucial in protecting who may be unable to protect themselves and ensures that necessary interventions can take place.
What about controlled substances?
We adhere to strict federal and Maryland state guidelines for Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS), including specific stimulants for ADHD and specialized medications for anxiety. We comply with the Ryan Haight Act.
While the DEA has extended certain extended certain telemedicine flexibilities through December 31, 2026, our practice maintains a disciplined approach to ensure all prescriptions are for a legitimate medical purpose.
Do you accept insurance?
To ensure your financial experience is seamless, we accept various major insurance plans in Maryland. You can easily verify your coverage and check your estimated co-pay through the booking link on our homepage. Currently, we in-network with several major carriers, including Aetna, Cross Blue Shield (including CareFirst BCBS), Cigna, UnitedHealthcare / Optum, Oxford, more.
